> A whole penguin worked in one piece from the crown down, so there is no head to sew on afterwards. The wings are shells worked into the front loops only, which leaves them standing free of the body, and the feet are bobbles. Three colours: navy head and feet, ice-blue body, white face patches.

## How the notation reads

- `(sc, inc) x6` — repeat what is in the brackets 6 times — also written 6x (sc, inc)
- `3 hdc in one st` — all three stitches go into the SAME base stitch
- `FLO / BLO` — work into the front / back loop only, leaving the other loop free
