# Pattern planner — the Crochet 3D editor

> The Crochet 3D pattern planner: a browser editor that counts stitches, validates rounds and renders the pattern as a 3D model. Free account required.

**What the planner does.** You write a pattern round by round in a plain-text notation ("Round 3: 6x (sc, inc) → 24"). As you type, Crochet 3D parses each round, checks that the declared stitch count matches the stitches actually worked, and grows a 3D model of the piece. You can rotate the model, colour it stitch by stitch or shape by shape, place accessory models such as safety eyes and safety noses, and export the finished pattern as text or PDF.

**Getting in.** The planner is account-only. Creating an account is free and takes an email address and a password; the free plan keeps up to 3 saved patterns and has no time limit. There is no trial period to expire, because there is no trial: a free account stays free until it subscribes.

## What you can write

- Rounds and rows, with the "→ N" stitch count the pattern declares.
- Repeats: `6x (sc, inc)` repeats what is in the brackets six times.
- Stitches worked into one base stitch: `3 hdc in one st`.
- Front- and back-loop-only work: `flo`, `blo`.
- Per-stitch and per-round yarn colours, written into the pattern as `[#hex]` tags.
- Multi-piece projects: a body, two arms and an ear are separate pieces of one project.
